Networking Marketing Tips- What is the big disaster to Avoid?

I really enjoy reading through Tom Schreiter's emails because they are always packed full of network marketing tips! If folks follow his advice and not sit on it, their business will grow.

In a recent mailing, Tom talked about how many new distributors make big, disastrous mistakes and the reasons for it. It's up to us who have been involved in mlm for awhile to guide and teach our new partners their objectives, what to say, and what to do so they won't end up  hurting themselves and becoming discouraged.

Tom does a great job sharing how to do this and his new book will certainly help! Make sure you grab it because its so cheap ANYONE can afford it! As new distributors we shoot ourselves in the foot, turn off our prospects, make people skeptical ... before we even begin to tell them about our wonderful business.

Let me give you some examples. A new distributor will ask something like this,

1. "My opportunity is perfect for anybody. Everyone needs more money. So I am going to stop strangers in the street, and what should I say to them next?"

2. "My diet product is awesome. I will go to the donut shop and find all the fat people who are sitting on two chairs. So should I give them a sample and follow up by telephone?"

3. "Our company has a terrific car program. I want to put a flyer on every junk car window in the parking lot. What should I say on the flyer?"

Are you seeing a trend? Are you starting to cringe? Do you have a feeling something is wrong and you just can't put your finger on it?

I know what is wrong. Why? Because I asked the same questions when I started 40+ years ago. I didn't "get it."

I knew prospects wanted to buy awesome products and change their lives with more money. So that is what I presented. But I forgot one little detail.

If the prospects don't believe us, if the prospects are skeptical, well, nothing we say about our products or company will make a difference.

I never knew about this first step, and I definitely didn't have the skill to execute this first step.
