Tips on Network Marketing-4 Ways to Start 2012 Off Right

Now that 2012 is here, many reps are looking at various tips on network marketing to implement so their business can continue to grow.

One of the best things you can do is to commit to learn more skills this year. Yes, visualizing is good, affirmations can keep you motivated, and making friends on Facebook is fun. However, the question to ask yourself is if these activities will grow your business? Most people who are savvy network marketers know that skills are crucial. When you have skills, everything else falls into place.

Here are the 4 specific skills you can work on which will propel you business forward in 2012. Since they are recommended by Tom Schretier, I know they are worth taking action on!

How are you going to start your New Year? by Tom Schreiter

If you didn't have a plan last year, the year slipped by, drifted, and now you are one year older. Not exactly the "planned life" we imagined.

So what are the results going to be for 2012?

If we keep using the knowledge we have learned so far, then our result will be the same. I don't think any of us wants our results to stagnate and not move forward.

So here are some suggestions to help us move forward next year with new knowledge.

1. Commit to read a book on skills. My favorite book is "How to Win Friends and Influence People" by Dale Carnegie. It's a great starter book on how to deal with other people. It's cheap. And it's even free at the local library. Anyone can do this. And if you have already read the book, go and re-read the book now. It's better the second or third time because we've had more experiences since our first reading.

2. Go to a "live" personal development workshop. Webinars, books, and CDs will give us information, but transformation comes from participating and doing. It is the "live" part that changes us. Want an inexpensive place to go? Try Toastmasters. You'll learn the skill of public speaking, become more confident, and meet prospects who want to move their lives forward also.

3. Enroll in and join a community of professional learners. Take the Big Al course on "Beyond Closing!" If you don't think a $27.95 investment in learning high-level closing techniques is worth it, then go to suggestion #1 above, and start with the Dale Carnegie free book.

4. Learn one new thing about the subconscious mind. That's our workplace in our networking business. Any time we spend with the conscious mind is wasted. So we'd better learn how to talk to the subconscious mind. Go to and there are hundreds of books to choose from. Read the reviews, and choose the book that resonates with you ... and just start learning.

Remember, if we don't change what we learn, our 2012 will look amazingly similar to 2011.
