Network Marketing Prospecting Techniques: Tip #6 On How to Communicate More Effectively with your Prospects

I think you will love today's post about the ultimate network marketing prospecting technique you should have in your toolbelt when communicating with prospects.

Over the past couple of week, we have been learning strategies from Tom about what our clients or potential customers really respond to when we talk to them. I think you will love what Tom has to share with us today. Even better, it involves food!

Lesson Six: Level Six Communication (two-way conversation) by Tom Schreiter

For centuries, people have bonded at banquets.

There is a special connection when you meet someone in person ... over food.

The simple act of sharing a meal together almost guarantees a pleasant and polite two-way conversation. No one gets mad while having a meal with you.

If you consider the quality of one presentation over food, it may be more powerful than 1,000 emails or 10 telephone conversations. We are talking quality over quantity.

In network marketing, how many good, quality people do you really need to sponsor personally? Just a few. That is why you would want to give yourself the best chance with a high-quality, Level Six Communication "over a meal" experience.

I love meeting people over food. And if you talk a lot, too much, at least your prospect has a chance to say something while you eat that bite of food.

It is easy to meet people over food. Simply say, "Hey, I know you are pressed for time, so let's meet over lunch. You have to eat anyway."

When having a conversation with a prospect over food, a lot of the tension goes away that occurs during just a sales presentation. You can get your message communicated better when your prospect is relaxed, and enjoying the food bonding experience.

And if you are new, you might be thinking:

"But how do I show the company video and break out the flip chart while we are eating?"

Well, remember this from Lesson Three?

"I don't know what to say. I just want to pass out tools that talk at prospects."

==> Well, you can think that, but isn't that taking a "victim mentality" instead of taking responsibility and learning exactly what to say?

At some point we will have to actually learn how to do our business.

Or look at meeting someone over food this way. People join people. They don't join companies or compensation plans. They don't really know everything about a company or its compensation plan before they join.

Since you only have to sponsor a few good people, your strategy could be:

"Just have a conversation with a different person every day for lunch and dinner ... until I find my few good people."

Gosh, that was easy.

And it certainly took our focus away from banner advertising, capture pages, online videos, autoresponders, loaning out DVDs that no one watches, etc.

Level Six Communication, having a two-way communication with a prospect over food, rocks! It doesn't get any better than that.

Whenever possible, go Level Six Communication!

So let's review.

Talking at someone. One-way communication:
Level One Communication: Simple text email.
Level Two Communication: Physical letter, web page, video, brochures.

Having a conversation with someone. Two-way communication:
   Level Three Communication: Telephone call.
Level Four Communication: Video telephone call.
Level Five Communication: Meeting someone in person.
Level Six Communication: Meeting someone in person ... over food.

Always pick the highest level of communication that is available to you.
