One thing I really like about Tom, "Big Al" Schreiter is that he never seems to run out of cool network marketing tips. If we all would get busy and actually do what Tom says, building our network marketing business would be so much easier!
I thought I'd share with you two network marketing tips Tom covered from two of his "Big Al Reports." When you take a close look, both tips really have to do with learning what to say to people.
Lead with your product or service? by Tom Schreiter
Many times you can get more prospects for your opportunity by talking about your product or service.
Here is an example of this kind of conversation with a prospect:
"Can you help me? Do you know anyone who wants a discount on their telephone bill?"
The prospect can easily mention a few referrals for you. This is rejection-free, non-confrontational, and fun.
And the best part is ... your prospect might become a distributor once he realizes all the potential customers that he knows.
This is one of the easiest ways to get lots of leads for your business. Here are some examples of questions that could be used for other products and services:
* "Do you know anyone who wants to lose weight without heavy exercising?"
* "Do you know anyone who feels tired in the morning?"
* "Do you know anyone frustrated with computer problems?"
* "Do you know anyone who could use more leads?"
* "Do you know anyone who wants a discount on their electric bill?"
* "Do you know any teenagers who want to get rid of their acne?"
Learning the right things to say is the skill that determines your prospecting success. Of course we don't know word-for-word what to say when we join, but we can learn.
I hope you have decided to take action and learn some skills after reading the first part here. Now, Tom explains why learning skills is important if we don 't want to go running around ruining perfectly good prospects!
Why looking for good prospects is useless.
If you have talked to all of your friends, and they tell you "No," ... and if you have talked to all of your relatives, and they told you they were not interested ... finding new prospects to ruin isn't the answer.
You don't need new people to ruin.
You need to change what you say.
If your best prospects (family and friends) hated what you said, then strangers won't like what you say any better.
* Buying 1,000 names of new prospects to ruin isn't the answer.
* Joining 20 networking clubs isn't the answer.
* Running ads isn't the answer.
* Working harder isn't the answer.
The answer is you have to learn what to say.
