Network Marketing Prospecting Techniques-How to Find Hot Prospects
For those of us who have a downline, sometimes our team members may ask us where they can find people to talk to or where they can find hot prospects. getting people. Hmmm. That is a good question right? After all, one of the best network marketing prospecting techniques is learning how to find the right prospects to talk to about our business, products, or service.
The truth is, according to Tom Schreiter, its not a good question. In fact, if our downline asks us this, Tom says we have done something wrong! Ouch! Since Tom seems to be the master at this, I guess we need to lean forward and pay attention to what he has to say.
So where can I find "hot" prospects? by Tom Schreiter
When our downline asks us this question, we know we have done a pathetic job of training. They think success lies in finding the right person.
Early in my career I found lots of great prospects, and proceeded to ruin them with my "untrained" words.
Success in prospecting is not in finding the right person, but in saying the right words to anyone we are communicating with. We actually create great prospects with our choice of the correct words.
Almost everyone is pre-sold on our business. They would love to have our product or service in their lives, and they would love to have more money in their lives. Yes, they are all pre-sold.
All we have to do is avoid using "untrained" words that talk them out of it.
I sometimes joke with distributors and use this example for distributors who sell nutritional products.
I ask them, "Do your prospects want to live longer? Or die quickly?"
They answer, "Live longer."
And then I ask, "Do your prospects want more money in their lives, or less money?"
They answer, "More money."
And then I ask, "So if prospects want to live longer, and you offer them a chance to live longer ... and they want more money, and you offer them a chance to earn more money ... what do they say when you finish your presentation?"
The distributors answer, "No."
So what has happened?
They have taken a pre-sold prospect and literally "talked them out of it" with their random, "untrained" words.
Ouch. That hurts.
But it gets worse.
The distributor has "talked their prospects out of it" so badly that their prospects are saying, "I would rather die quickly and be broke than do business with you!"
That's why we have to stop using "untrained" words and learn the skills of our profession.
So ask yourself, "How much longer am I going to refuse to learn the right words to make my business succeed?"
