Network Marketing Today-Proof That Failing Is Not Your Fault

In network marketing today, many are failing and struggling. A recent family event got me to thinking more about why this is so.

You see, a few weekends ago, my sister and I were helping our parents clean out their outside sheds. In one of the sheds, my mother had one of her freezers filled with lots of food: strawberries, blueberries, peaches, squash, tomatoes, corn, and green beans.

Unfortunately, we ended up throwing out at least half of the food because no one over the years had taken the time to go outside and grab what they wanted. As a result, a lot of the food was no longer any good and had lost its nutritional value.

My mother lamented over how much time, money, and energy she had spent freezing all of that food. She stated she didn't want to ever see that so much go to waste again.

Her comments got me to thinking about network marketing. Everybody knows the failure rate in our business is about 97%. Most people, like my mother, spend lots of time, energy, and effort building their network marketing business opportunity. However, only some achieve success.

I'm thinking some of this might have to do with something that Michael Dlouhy says in his ebook, "Success in 10 Steps." Michael stated:

"The more you look at compensation plans, companie,and company owner, the more you realize that the business model drives the behavior in the field."

Michael believes, as I do, that this is one of the main reasons why so many people fail in network marketing. Those who are working hard, and are being persistent and consistent, may not be paying attention to things they can't afford to overlook. I'm thinking of things like breakage in their compensation plan. Perhaps some reps don't pay attention if the company owners have had some experience in mlm or are just a corporate CEO. It could be some reps don't understand why ground floor opportunities should be avoided. Maybe some fail to understand why their needs to be an easy, duplicatable system for them to follow.

The good news is, if you are in network marketing and are failing today, it is not your fault. Even better, if you take some time to get educated, learn more about how business models drives the behavior in the field, and then find a mlm opportunity to join that will be their for your children and their children's children, you will be able to achieve the success you desire.

Nice article. Although I do agree with part of your conclusion, I also believe that people have the ability to succeed in any company.
