As reps who do network marketing prospecting everyday, we know that sometimes we are faced with rejection. We all hate rejection and some reps hate it so much they end up quitting the business.

When you are deep in conversation with a prospect and everything is flowing really well you are suddenly hit with an objection. Your immediate thoughts may be, "Where the heck did that come from?" Understanding where objections come from will help to prepare you to handle every objection effectively.

Whenever there is a discussion about the network marketing industry, there are typically three separate points of view.

Fortunately there are those who are actively involved with multi-level marketing and running their own highly successful MLM businesses. The reason they are successful is because they know the industry, they have first-hand experience of it, they have ensured they got the right training, and they put in the effort required to be a success. It is likely that you will get nothing but a positive response from these network marketers.

The other two viewpoints, sadly, will be based either on misinformation about what the network marketing business model is, or on the opinions of those who have tried MLM and failed at it. Both are heavily biased towards the negative and can have a hugely detrimental effect depending on what your prospects have heard and believe to be true.

When you are talking to a new prospect and they raise an objection or ask a question, oftentimes it is based on some general knowledge, hearsay, or something they just happened to pick up in conversation.

With that background in place, let's discuss how you handle those objections when they do arise -- because if you get this part wrong you greatly reduce your chances of closing the prospect to take a positive action.

You're not there to win an argument. You're not there to create an argument.

You're not there to get mad. You're not there to feel guilty or go on the defensive about some general comments the prospect makes, based on hearsay.

Not easy at times - especially when handling objections made by family or friends.

Such situations can really get out of hand. You have to be able to rid yourself of the mindset that you have to win. You are talking to these people for one very important reason. The purpose of handling an objection and the only purpose of handling an objection is to help your prospect get past what's currently stopping them from getting what they want.

You have probably heard often enough that the success of your MLM business will depend largely on your willingness to help others and the willingness to undergo the right training. It is this willingness that will determine the mindset you have when handling objections and questions about the network marketing industry.

Also remember that you're not handling an objection to get the person into your business. Instead, focus on helping your prospect to get what they want when they are asking you a question or giving you an objection. The objection or the reason behind the objection is stopping them -- so help them.

If your true intention is focused on your personal goals as opposed to those of your prospect, this will definitely come across in any discussion you have -- but even more so when handling an objection. If you start giving your prospect answers that are skewed towards your benefit and not theirs, they will pick up on this almost as if you are in contention with them -- and you will run the huge risk of losing any trust the prospects may have in you.

Make sure that all your conversations are for their benefit. In this way, you will do far better because they will then trust you and trust what you say. By giving them answers that help them -- not you, you will win their trust in you.

Network Marketing Prospecting -Do The Only Thing That Matters

In network marketing, especially network marketing prospecting, there is one thing that separates the leaders who generate great royalty income from the average rep. What is this elusive thing? Skills. Specifically, the skill of knowing how to talk to people/prospects whether they are an online mlm lead, opt-in mlm lead, mlm local lead, a friend, family member, etc.

One skill that average distributors, who desire to become leaders with an ever growing downline as well as customers who purchase products and services, needs to master is learning how to talk to people. One such way to do this is to become an expert in skill #23. What is this skill that will increase your sponsoring rate and help you become one of your company’s superstars? Well, I just found out that according to Tom, Big Al, Schreiter, it is the “magic sequence of words”. Why is this skill so important? It’s because when these word phrases are used, people will sit up straight, look right at you, and want to know more.

Here are some examples of the sequences as well as how you can use them:

-“ I have some good news and bad news.” I have some good news and bad news. The good news is you can eat these cookies and lose weight. The bad news is all the girls at work will be jealous of you.

-“There are two types of people in the world”. There are two types of people in the world: Those who stay at home and make all the money they want and those who have to fight route 66 traffic everyday.

-“I just found out.” I just found out how you can work for three weeks out of the month and get paid for 4.

-“There is a catch.” You can lose weight easily, but there is a catch. You will forced to eat a couple of cookies a day.

-“There is an old saying.” There is an old saying that two paychecks are better than one.

As you can see, what you can do with this list of word phrases is practically endless. Plus, there are many more which I did not even mention.

Well, know you know the one thing you must do is you want o increase your sponsoring rate, have a growing downline, and a list of happy customers. Begin to learn this important network marketing prospecting skill and your work at home mlm business will grow.
