Network Marketing Advertising-YOU Are the Brand

I recently was reading an article by Charlie Page of the Directory of Ezines. In this article, he was discussing the importance of branding YOU. With any network marketing advertising endeavor, it always must be YOU branding yourself.

How to do this? Read on to discover how to make the most of your network advertising strategies by branding YOU. We will cover this over the next few posts.

Learn and take action!

YOU Are the Brand

(c) Charlie Page

How many times have we heard "Xerox this", when the

copier involved may not be a Xerox brand at all?

What brand do you think of when you hear the words

"Just do it"?

How about ordering a "coke" when what you really wanted

was another soda?

Branding is a powerful tool in our business lives.

While Nike and Xerox are prime examples of this idea,

all businesses can benefit from branding.

But can YOU, the solo operator of a small business (and

this does apply even if you work at home alone) use

branding to your advantage?

More importantly, does branding really matter in your

life?

I believe the answer is yes. Not so much because you

might "hit it big" and become the next Wal-Mart but

because good branding lowers sales barriers.

Read that again ...

Good branding lowers sales resistance.
I believe there are seven ways you can begin today to
build your brand.

It does not matter that you are not famous online.

It doesn't even matter if you are yet to make your

first dollar -- thinking about branding now will pay

big dividends in the future.

Here is a seven step formula that will give you a great

start toward establishing yourself as the brand of

choice.

* * * Know Where You Stand Now

What name pops into your customer's mind when they need

what you do? If it's not your name, why not? Do you

have a name or slogan that is easy to remember and

clearly describes what you offer?

* * * Know Where You Want To Go

What do you want to be known for? Like it or not,

customers will define us if we don't define ourselves.

Do you want to be the low-price leader? Do you want to

be the value-added vendor?

We can't (as much as we might like to) be everything to

everyone. Choose a theme for your business and promote

that theme at every opportunity. Soon, you will become

associated with the ONE benefit that is your strong

suit.

* * * Narrow Your Niche

Be such an expert in your field that you are the

natural choice to call when what you do becomes what

they need.

Marketing, either offline or online, creates the

greatest impact when it frames YOU as the smart

solution to a client's problem.

MLM Business Lead-"So how many people did you talk to?"

Today's post covers a question many networkers ask of their upline when it comes to talking to a mlm business lead.

It is the famous, "So how many people did you talk to?" One of my mentors, Tom, Big Al, Schreiter hated this question. But, he learned how to respond. I love his advice and I hope you will as well.

"So how many people did you talk to?"

I hated this question. When I complained that nobody wanted to join, that nobody wanted to buy, I was asked:

"So how many people did you talk to?"

Bad question. Why?

Because I had talked to a lot of people!

I didn't need to talk to even more people. That wasn't the problem. I didn't need to run ads and get more leads. I didn't need even more people to ruin.

What they should have asked me was:

"Exactly what did you say to the people you talked to?"

That was my problem. I was saying all the wrong things.

Most new distributors rush out and try to get more leads instead of spending a bit of time learning what to say to those leads. And when that doesn't work, they try to find even better leads to ruin.

So let's ask our new distributors exactly what they are saying. Let's check to make sure they have learned the skills. Because if they refuse to learn the skills and just hope to get lucky by talking to lots of people . . . bad idea.

You might want to ask your distributors to write down exactly word-for-word their answers to these questions:

1. What is the exact sentence you use with strangers to break the ice and get them to ask you for a presentation?

2. What is the first sentence you use to start your presentation?

3. What two sentences do you use to get appointments?

4. What sentence do you use to get prospects to ask about your product?

5. What is the one sentence you use to close?
But wait. Maybe we should do this exercise too. Why? So we can give our new distributors the answers they need to talk to people effectively.

So go ahead. Write down your answers to these five questions now.

Let's do a self-check on our skills.

And if you send your answers to Roxanne@FortuneNow.com, she will send you my 180-page manual, "26 Instant Marketing Ideas To Build Your Network Marketing Business."

Looking forward to your answers!!!
